Lecture Recording Support
The Library provides video recording services for the alternative publishing of scholarly events, such as symposia, lectures, and speaker series. This service also includes the capture of non-concurrent conference events, such as keynotes.
How does it work?
It's simple! Submit a Request Form. If your event is approved, each speaker is asked to complete the required Permission Form. An EPAGE@Tech videographer arrives 15 minutes before the event and speakers are asked to wear a small wireless microphone. Event organizers are usually notified of video availability within 10-14 business days.
Do speakers retain rights to their materials?
Yes. Authors retain copyright ownership of the materials they create, retain rights to re-use the materials in any manner they wish, and grant the Georgia Institute of Technology a non-exclusive license to distribute and preserve this material for non-commercial, educational purposes.
Can we archive supplementary materials with the videos?
Yes. We accept supplementary materials such as presentation slides, posters, flyers, handouts and other ephemera in digital format. We reserve the right to convert materials submitted in a proprietary format to an open standard for the purpose of preservation.
